Admissions Process
Admissions at Wildflower Meadows
We know that finding the right environment for your child can be a challenge, and we want to make the admissions process as simple and supportive as possible. At Wildflower Meadows, we offer two pathways for children to join us: Self-Funded Spaces and Local Authority/School Funded Spaces. Please see below for our step by step admissions process.
Self-Funded Spaces
Families who wish to self fund their child's place at Wildflower Meadows can apply for a self-funded space. This is ideal for families who home educate, flexi-school, or want their child to attend without going through local authority referrals.
✅ How it works:
Parents/guardians apply directly to us.
Spaces are available for up to 2 days per week per child.
Fees are paid termly in advance.
No EHCP is required to attend.
Families will be asked to complete a referral form(see below) to ensure we are the right fit for their child’s needs.
Funded Spaces
Some children may be eligible for funding through their Education, Health and Care Plan or via Alternative Provision funding from their School or local authority. If your child is struggling to access education due to SEMH needs, anxiety, Emotionally-Based School Avoidance, or other factors, your school or local authority may be able to fund a place at Wildflower Meadows.
✅ How it works:
Schools, SEND teams, or local authorities can refer a child to us.
We work with commissioning teams to assess if we are the right fit for the child.
Funding is arranged through the local authority or school budget.
Attendance and progress are regularly reviewed to ensure the placement remains beneficial.
If you are unsure whether your child could receive a funded place, we recommend speaking to your child’s current school, SEND caseworker, or local authority.
Which Option is Right for You?
If you would like to privately fund your child’s space, you can apply directly. If you believe your child may be eligible for funded support, we can help guide you through the process of seeking a referral from the relevant professionals.
